Rest of the countries have facilities like biometric enrollment which are also issuing 5-year Tourist visa. The rest of the categories in India visas include Employment visas, Business visas, Research visas, Intern visas, Journalist visas, Student visas, and Film visas.

Where and How to Apply for an Indian Visa

The process of Indian visa application has been outsourced to private agencies across different countries and, the Indian government has substituted most of these countries with Indian companies. Now, getting closer to the application process you first have to apply for that and complete an application form. The application form will ask for a fee in the end along with a passport that's valid for the next six months and has a minimum of two blank pages, details of your itinerary and, a recent passport sized photo. Permits for Protected/Restricted Areas in India

Just like any other country, India too has some remote areas where foreigner entries are prohibited. Before you apply for Indian Visa, make sure you obtain a Protected Area Permit (PAP) and, then visit the place. These restricted areas are generally the borders or the area near them as Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Arunachal Pradesh.
