Upper Mustang Trek Nepal.

Upper Mustang Trek located north of Annapurna region at an elevation of 4000m is physically and culturally division of the Tibetan highland. The valleys are barren and dry with vivid rock formations holding many caves high up in the rock face. Upper Mustang is a restricted spot until 1992, at present visitors are allowed with entry permit. Upper Mustang is one of the regions left where one can perceive untouched Tibetan way of life.
Upper Mustang Trekking begins from Jomsom after taking flight for 25 minutes from Pokhara. After arriving Jomsom, you will follow the Kali Gandaki River to reach Kagbeni. From Kagbeni the restricted region of Upper Mustang commences. We will visit the famous pilgrim visit of Muktinath before moving North to Upper Mustang. From Kagbeni moving further to the North direction, we will reach Lo Mangthang, Tibetan kingdom with walled capital. Also, we will partly unusual way via Dhakmar, going across 2 passes at an elevation of approximately 4,200 m.  Near to Dhakmar, you will find the ancient Tibetan monastery, the Lo Gekar Monastery constructed in the 8th century.
