Upper Mustang Trek located north of Annapurna region at an elevation of 4000m is physically and culturally division of the Tibetan highland. The valleys are barren and dry with vivid rock formations holding many caves high up in the rock face. From Kagbeni moving further to the North direction, we will reach Lo Mangthang, Tibetan kingdom with walled capital. Also, we will partly unusual way via Dhakmar, going across 2 passes at an elevation of approximately 4,200 m. Near to Dhakmar, you will find the ancient Tibetan monastery, the Lo Gekar Monastery constructed in the 8th century.
