The standard itinerary covering all important spots
Day-1:
You arrive at Hanoi, and take the brief city tour. Try to cover the spots Old Quarter HoanKiem Lake, the Opera House, the Ngoc Son temple etc, and then enjoy the water puppet show, and finally rest at night.
Day-2:
Get transferred to the Ha Giang village, and trek lightly around the village, walk and explore it lightly, and get some rest at night.
Day-3:
Drive to the Dong Van Karst plateau, and enroute watch the Fairy Mountain in Quan Ba, Pc Sum Pass, Heaven gate, and you will get a chance to view the Tam Son town from the top of the hills. You may also visit the house of the Vuong family, which is worth a view. As you reach Dong Van town, you can then visit the peak of the Lung Cu Mountain, for the Flag tower, and watch the ancient residences, and then settle at night.
Day-4:
The day is totally for exploring the old and rural beauty of Dong Van village, and for nature watch.
Day-5:
Start for the Ha Giang town again, and on route visit the deepest valley of Vietnam, the Ma Pi Leng Pass. Shop in the MeoVac market, and enroute visit Bao Lac, Bao Lam, Bao Me, and reach Ha Giang to rest for the night.
Day-6:
A very interesting tour, where you will be traversing through a jungle to reach a pass is the route to Sin Man and Hoang Su Phi. You will be watching many hilly tribes here, and watch a lot of scenic beauty. Take rest at Sin Man.
Day-7:
You can start for Bac Ha. Visit the market and the town on your own. Settle a night at Bac Ha.
Day-8:
This is the day to explore Sapa. You trek through the day at Sapa, and enjoy the local food, local people, tribe and their culture. Scenic beauty in Sapa is breathtaking, and you would love the rice field on the hills. At night you may borad the train from Sapa to travel overnight to Hanoi.
Day-9:
On reaching Hanoi, you must get refreshed at the morning, and transfer to Halong City. As you reach the Halong City, explore the city and surroundings. Take rest at night.
Day-10:
Explore Halong Bay in a cruise ship, and also try kayaking. Explore the heritage site of the world while you see the limestone caves, hilly islands and islets and the lovely nature. Get back to Hanoi at night and rest.
Day-11:
Take a full day city tour of Hanoi and do shopping before you return.
