The Mayan Riviera, right in the Mexican Caribbean, is not only to be enjoyed during the daytime, with the huge beaches, the bright sunshine and all the water sports and parks. The Mayan Riviera has a wide variety of nightlife for the most demanding partygoers.

On the Mayan Riviera you will find small discotheques and bars in towns such as Tulum, Akumal, Puerto Aventuras and especially at the heart of the Riviera, in Playa del Carmen, a town that concentrates the largest and most varied offer of live music, but also beach celebrations and discotheques featuring well-known djs.

The Riviera provides you with long nights of bohemian parties on the beach, for instance at the Blue Parrot, with fire shows on the sand, tables on the beach and swings around the bar area—it’s something you won’t easily forget.  It's also worth your while to visit the Frida Bar, an open air place where the walls are decorated with images of Frida Kahlo and Pancho Villa, with music played by Mexican groups and soloists. You can visit Señor Frogs, a place of impossible cocktails, a never-ending list of drinks and plenty of fun. You can end up at the Bali Club, a discotheque with capacity for over a thousand people, featuring shows all night long and fun guaranteed till the end.

Another interesting place for those of you who like to dance is the Mambo Café (actually north of the Riv Maya, in Cancun), with orchestras playing salsa, merengue, mambo and other Latin rhythms to keep you going.

There are so many possibilities available on the Mayan Riviera for nightlife lovers that one night is not enough to try them all—so there will be no choice but to repeat. But the only thing you will be repeating is your destination, because every experience is unique!

“Climate, beaches and facilities have made the Mayan Riviera the most important tourist destination in Mexico and one of the places with the most international visitors. IBEROSTAR Hotels & Resorts has 7 hotels on the Mayan Riviera, distributed between Playa del Carmen and Playa Paraíso, two of the most beautiful settings in the area.”
