Marine Drive/Chowpatty Beach

Also known as the Queen's Necklace for its nighttime illumination, the C-shaped thoroughfare along the shores of the Arabian Sea was built during the first quarter of the 20th century, and so is flanked on one side by a large number of handsome Art Deco buildings, many now housing upmarket hotels and restaurants. On the other are a string of beaches, including Chowpatty Beach, aka Chaupati, a favourite of local families, especially for an evening out. There are even rides for the kids, and plenty of bhelpuris (Indian street food).

Bollywood Tours

As the home of "Bombay Hollywood," Mumbai offers options to visit its 20-studio Film City - including seeing lavish sets, live shootings, driving by Bollywood stars homes, movie screenings, live dance shows, and even the chance to be an extra in a production.
