Movies showcasing dreamy destinations are a delight not only on their own terms but to previews or remember your own travels - not to mention armchair traveling to inspire you for the future. Here's a trio I've watched again recently that made me dream of beautiful Tuscany, Bora Bora, and the U.S. West.

Under the Tuscan Sun

Diane Lane headlines as Frances, a divorced book author who has to sell her house to pay her ex-husband alimony. She finds herself gifted a vacation to tour the vast beauties of Italy and with the money from the sell she purchases an old villa in Tuscany. Set in the heart and with the breadth of all things Italian (fantastic wine and eats included), this is one of those HD movies that provide the viewer with a hands-on take of the endless scenery of the beachside, country panoramas, and quaint town set in the landscapes under the Tuscan sun.

Wild

Based on the best-selling book and true story of Cheryl Strayad, it stars Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon as Cheryl, a recent divorcee who has also just lost her mother. To break away from self-destruction, Cheryl decides to hike one of the most difficult hiking trails out there, the Pacific Crest Trail. This is an amazing HD movie that features shots from over 55 different locations in California, Oregon, and Washington. The landscapes in this movie are so amazing they will spark even the the most jaded to feel emotion at the wonder and beauty.

Couple’s Retreat

This comedy featuring Vince Vaughn, Kristen Bell, Jason Bateman, and Jon Favreau is set in the heart of the pristine beauty of Bora Bora, French Polynesia, featuring countless shots of the crystal blue waters and pristine beaches that surround the St. Regis Resort. On top of scenes shark diving, you will see the jaw-dropping greenery of the coast along the beaches, and one of the area’s most popularly visited waterfalls.
