When you come to the holiday resort town Magaluf on the east coast of Majorca in Spain's Balearic Islands, it’s likely that you here either on a booze cruise or just as a way to let loose and have some fun. Regardless of why you are here, though, you will get to enjoy a rather sensational experience. However, finding out where to go and what to do rather than check out all of the local pubs can be tough work. So what do we recommend for you beyond the partying?

See the Sights

Our first recommendation would be that you go and check out some of the fascinating sights in Majorca's capital Palma de Mallorca; this is probably one of the best ways to experience the local culture. If you take a taxi over to Palma or get the local bus, you can get there in 15 to 30 minutes and take in some awesome sightseeing.

One tip, though: do the sight-seeing sober. These kind of events often require you to be in good condition to take part, and constantly singing and dancing around the local monuments and hotspots might not go down too well with the locals!

Hit the Sea

If you want to make sure that you can get every ounce of fun out of your trip to this amazing city, though, we recommend that you hit the sea up and try that out for yourself. The boat makes a lot of common recommendation lists purely on the basis that the water here is so clear.

A trip will usually set off in the morning and be back in the mid-afternoon. This would allow you to take in local sights such as Hawai, Palmanova and also Cala Vinyas along the way. A very worthwhile way to spend some time when you are here in Magaluf outside of pubs.

Go Cove Hunting

Following on from the above, you could always rent out a boat with your mates and go hunting around all of the little local calas (coves) and hotspot locations that you should definitely check out. This will make it nice and easy for you to find some amazing local sights, and you will also get an easy way to just see the local landscape up-close and personal. You could always hire a boat guide if you would prefer, too, making sure that you don’t miss any hidden gems.

See the Pirate Show

As a town with a lot of ways to enjoy yourself, a trip to Magaluf can soon feel like a trip to the old lawless days of pirates. If you want to see something fun built around this theme, take in the local Pirates show. These will make it nice and easy for you to spend your time in town taking in some awesome acrobatics, dancing and entertainment. You can easily book this up online and enjoy an evening here with your whole party.

So if you have booked up a Magaluf booze cruise, it pays to also take a look around the many awesome things to do locally: you never know what you will find when you step foot outside the pubs and clubs!
