Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest wildlife reserve of India. It is located in the Himalayan foothill and extends to an area more than 500 sq km. In 1936, this park was known to be the Hailey National Park, then in 1955-56 its name changed to Ramganga National Park and finally the people know this place by the name of Jim Corbett National Park. This park was named as Jim Corbett in the honor of legendary hunter who was well known for hunting man-eating tigers and leopards and he turned to be conservationist.
