Galta Monkey Temple



A part of an enormous complex, Galta Temple (top) is a ruin and used to be a Hindu temple sheltered between big granite cliffs. The Temple used to have water pools, three to be exact, and one of these have been occupied by monkeys that playfully swim and take a bath on it. Don’t worry about the monkeys when visiting the place, they are friendly by large.

Jantar Mantar Observatory

Built between the years 1727 and 1734 by a King named Kai Singh II, Jantar Mantar Observatory is more than just being an intriguing set of structures and sculptures. The actual meaning of Jantar Mantar is “calculation instrument”; the astronomical architectures in the observatory are highly functional to observe different weather phenomenon and constellation of stars. One of the most extraordinary masterpiece of Jantar Mantar is sundial called Samrat Yantra, it’s quite huge where its shadow resembles how fast time flies.

Albert Hall Museum

The Government Central Museum or what is now called Albert Hall Museum, is mocked after the Victoria and Albert Museum of London. Some of the collections that can be seen inside the museum include portraits of India’s Kings, traditional costumes, and artisan works such as paintings, woodcarvings, and other arts.
