Five-Year Travel Plans

Five Year Travel Plans

Like anything in life these days, priorities need to be set and plans need to be put in place.

I have recently been asking my clients what their Five Year Travel Plan is. Many can tell me right away and in order where they want to go and what is next to cross off the bucket list. Others can’t imagine knowing where they are going to be next weekend.

So here is why I believe setting Five Year Travel Plan will be to your advantage.

I am a big believer in the “Secret” and if you want something bad enough, it will happen. Writing down your travel goals is the first step to making them reality.

No matter what age you are, certain destinations make take priority. Backpacking and staying in hostels before children, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro while your body still allows, or seeing the Polar Bears in the Northern Canada before they become an extinct species.

I can’t tell you how often a client calls me in October to book Hawaii for the Christmas break…unfortunately most properties have been sold out since August!

I have a number of clients who have the Galapagos Islands on their bucket list. Did you know that end of September and early October offers the best value to travel to this destination and you get to see the Blue Footed Boobie chicks on many of the islands.

As a professional I am very familiar with the travel trends. It is my job to know the best time to go somewhere. I know when rainy season is in Costa Rica, when the cruises lines start dropping their prices for Alaska and when to avoid the insane crowds in Europe through July and August. I know that you should be booking Antarctica at least a year in advance, and that if you book your 2011 river cruise today you will save $1000.

Setting a Five Year Travel Plan does not mean having things set in stone as to when, where and how much, but by providing me with an idea of what you want to do in the next five years, your goals are on my radar and I can advise you when the best value is being offered.

So now I ask all of you to let me help your travel dreams become reality…
