Discover Dubai's Beautiful Parks and Gardens

Dubai, located in the Middle Eastern desert. is not well known for its parks and gardens. So it may come as a surprise that Dubai does in fact have several beautiful parks and gardens located throughout the city, and make a fabulous and inexpensive or free outing. They can also provide a quiet relief for tourists away from the buzz of a typical action packed holiday that Dubai can provide with its desert safaris, amusement parks, and shopping. And here are seven of the best:

Zabeel Park

A favorite with tourists and locals alike, this 126 acres features ponds, lakes and a clubhouse. Additionally, it has several regular sporting activities and a jogging track.

 

Creekside Park

Situated in Bur Dubai, it's one of the largest waterfront parks in the Emirate, spanned by the Al-Garhoud Bridge and also the Al-Maktoum Bridge. There are plenty of attractions and things to do in this park including dhow cruises, abra rides, food and beverage outlets, amphitheaters, and beaches.

 

Safa Park

Centrally located off Sheikh Zayed Road on 158 acres of land, Safa has a walking/running track around the perimeter, plenty of spots for enjoying a range of sports as well as a lake with paddleboats. As with all of the parks, there are multiple children's playground areas within.

 

Al-Mazmar Park

One of Dubai's most frequented parks spans some 262 acres of land in the old part of town, Deira. Features include children's play spots, a swimming pool, food kiosks, barbecue spots, and large grassy picnic areas.

 

Mushrif Park

This desert-like park is spread across 306 acres of land and is home to a large range of different bird species. You'll also find swimming pools, camel and pony rides, play spots for young children, and fountain and lakes. As a bonus, Mushrif also features an "International Garden" where miniature homes from various nations are exhibited.

 

Jumeirah Beach Park

And extended, rectangular 30-acre land area along the popular Jumeirah Beach, it features stunning beach frontage with amazing view of the Burj Al Arab. There are a multitude of amenities including foods kiosks, barbecue locations, children's play regions, and volleyball courts. It also has lifeguards on duty during peak swimming times.

 

Jumeirah Beach Corniche

A kilometre of beach frontage next to the Marine Beach Club, just off the Beach Street, its attributes include a number of children's play grounds, shaded picnic tables, and showers.
