The Everest Base Camp trek is probably the most famous trekking route in the world. It gives a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of the most breathtaking scenery imaginable. Nepal is a fascinating country and the trek gives an insight into the lives and culture of the Sherpa people. Our ascent is steady and well placed to best suit the acclimatization needed. Sunrise on the snow capped peaks above the Khumbu Glacier is an unforgettable sight from the summit of Kala Patthar. This trek is one for the lovers of high places and those wanting to push themselves to the limit. From Gorakshep (5,180m) where you spend a day acclimatising you have a fantastic panorama of mountains including Nuptse and Pumori and the Khumbu glacier, From here you ascend to Kalapather(5,555m) an amazing viewpoint where the mighty Mount Everest lays before you and a view of the base camp that you are travelling to.
The superb trek to the Base Camp of Mount Everest is recommended one of the places to visit before you die. The Everest trekking region is well-known because of the friendly Sherpa people, colorful festivals and the Buddhist monasteries. The region is known as Khumbu and is found in the Sagarmatha National Park, a World Heritage Site. Sagarmatha is the Nepalese name for Mount Everest, the top of the world. Sherpas, the famous climbers are the dwellers of Khumbu region.
