Buy Delta Miles

It had been a while since our family of four had gone on a vacation so we decided to plan for a family trip to a foreign land sometime late in the year. We decided that since both my brother and I had finally started working everyone would pay for their own ticket and our parents would take care of the hotels. All of us had different ideas of a vacation but one place we’d been planning to go back to as a family was Turkey. We’d already been there when me and my brother were children, but it had still made an impact, enough to make us want to go again as adults. I wasn’t worried about my ticket since I travelled quite often I had a SkyMiles account, which had a good amount of miles that I hadn’t yet redeemed. SkyMiles is the frequent flyer program I had signed up to through Delta airlines. I also did quite a lot of shopping using my credit card and since my bank was a partner to Delta airlines I was pretty much covered. The only problem was that my parents were loyal customers to another airline but we luckily found flights from both Delta and their airline that would land only an hour apart, all I had to do was convince my brother to buy delta miles so he could make up the amount he was short and also get an award ticket on the same flight as me.

Now that all of the finances, bookings and travel itinerates were covered we picked up our backpacks and made our way to the airport for a much needed vacation. The thing about Turkey is that it caters to almost everyone that hits its shores. We started with Istanbul which was my choice, I’m the tourist in the family, I want to go to every museum and art gallery there is in the place so Istanbul was the place for me. However, the rest of the family had Istanbul grow on them because of the delicious local cuisine and the amazing cruise that we got to take on the Bosphorus. Antalya was my mom’s choice of city because of the gorgeous beaches that line its coast. For the three days we were there all of us got the peace of mind and relaxation we all needed. The last stop was Cappadocia, the destination my brother and father were most excited for. Cappadocia was an experience especially with its fairy chimneys and underground cities but what we were most excitedly looking forward to was the hot air balloon ride, my brother had booked for us. It was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the trip, looking at this beautiful city from sky as the sun rose was sensational.

The trip couldn’t have been any better. We all had the time of our life and what was the best part we got to do it as a family. From the beautiful hospitable people, small but comfortable and pretty hotel rooms to the finger licking cuisine, the trip was a memorable one.
