It's long, narrow, & pulchritudinous, from the wilds of Tierra del Fuego in the south up to the Atacama desert in the north. Other highlights: gracious coastal cities Valparaíso & Viña del Mar, happening capital Santiago, Polynesian Easter Island.

Dear Walter,
Jose Balido suggested I ask you about Puerto Vallarta. I am a travel writer on assignment. Will be in PV for only one full day. I'd like to see a beautiful beach/park/area, and to have a bite in a "hidden gem" so I could bring my readers some [pretend] insider tips.
I'd appreciate your help very much.
Thanks,
Emma Krasov

Good afternoon, Walter, and welcome to Tripatini! Great to have you with us -- and we think you'll find our site productive as well as interesting and enjoyable.

To get the most out of us, you may want to take a moment to join several of our many groups which you may find of particular interest, such as Travel Marketers/Publicists, Mexico, Resorts Corner, Chile, Italy, Beach-Bumming, Eating/Drinking the World, Wine Tourism, our Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese language/culture clubs, and plenty of others covering many topics and most destinations across the the globe.

FYI, on your profile you'll see a green bar marked "Text Box," which you can turn into a box containing not just text but also photos and even videos about yourself, your interests, your travels, Latittude, and its clients (you'll do yourself as well as our journalist members a favor by sharing with whom your currently working).

Finally, if you would, please be so kind as to spread the word among your travel-interested friends, family, colleagues, associates, and clients. It's fast and easy to use our "INVITE" function above left on the navigation bar to enter e-mails (even your whole list at once!).

Thanks for joining us, Walter; we wish you an outstanding rest of 2009 and look forward to seeing you online.

Cheers!
