Are you connected to the tourism/travel/hospitality industries or travel media in any way? If so, please specify how (kindly include any relevant company names/Web sites!).
I travel, cook, eat, observe, interact, live and write.

As a chef/food, wine and travel writer, I look for connections among people, their activities, the environment and what they eat that can tell the story of a region/culture, whether that be in the remote Andes Mountains or the streets of Philadelphia.

Publications include my travel web site on Argentina (www.travel-with-pen-and-palate-argentina.com) and articles covering a diverse range of countries and cultures at www.travelpenandpalate.com, Luxe Beat Magazine, Original World Travel, Examiner.com (International Travel, International Dining Examiner, Culinary Travel, Food & Recipes and Philadelphia Fine Dining) and Suite101. Also contributing writer for City Suburban News (Philadelphia).

I serve on the Board of Directors for the International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association (IFWTWA) and I'm an active member in the American Culinary Federation.

Experience includes over 35 years as a chef, chef educator, hotel and restaurant manager, catering and teaching: history, writing, theater, culinary arts and business. I lived for many years in Puerto Rico and Canada (Nova Scotia). I travel extensively in southern South America, Southeast Asia, Europe, North America and southern Africa.

Specialties: chef and food writer: discovering the history of authentic regional cuisines and exploring innovative fusion cuisine created by a new generation of chefs.

travel writer: uncovering the stories that created a culture's way of life and the influences that affect change.

teacher: helping children with learning differences through chef training, writing, theater and history.

Hi, thanks for your note and further details. I write for ITAWA but I missed the post about Zimbabwe. My website was down this last month so this took a bunch of time to work with my designer and get it back up and online.  I'd like to know more details about the Zimbabwe trip.

My email is susan@frostphotography.com and my website www.frostphotography.com has links to my Facebook and Linked in profiles.
