Try Stay London Home to Home - we are registered with them. You stay in family homes and the rates are reasonable. You'll find the link on Google -can post later have to go out now.

http://www.lastminute.com/ is also a good place to look, even if you're not quite doing this last minute, because the sorting options (price, distance, etc.) are useful and the price(s) is right.
