EcoTraining - Pioneer and Leader in Field Guide and Nature Training

We were one of the first companies to conduct formal training programs for field guides,  starting in 1993. We are known in the industry as the pioneers and leaders in field guide and nature training. Our mission has been, and still is, to raise the standard of guiding in Africa.

Since 1993 we have been sending people of all ages into the African wilderness to learn about the environment in exciting, in-depth and sensitive ways and to find out what it really takes to become a game ranger or a field guide.

Our courses provide participants with an exciting never-to-be-forgotten learning adventure. Our instructors have years of experience guiding tourists around Africa, and now they are giving something back to the wilderness that they love by sharing their knowledge, experience and wisdom with students who attend our courses.

Our training takes place at various camps in the African wilderness, thousands of hectares teeming with game, including the Big Five as well as antelope and a huge diversity of birds.

Let us guide you while you choose out of our wide spectrum of courses, for the professional and the adventurous!

‘To prepare leaders in the conservation and sustainable management of forests and other natural resources; to discover ways to restore and better use the earth’s natural resources; and to put into practice forestry and natural resources knowledge.’

This is the mission of the school of Forestry and Natural Resources at the University of Georgia(UGA)

A very apt description as recently a group of UGA students ventured across the ocean all the way to the Land of the Giants…
