Where To Eat When Staying At Motels In Sydney

After spending a long day sightseeing, the last thing you want to do upon returning to motels in Sydney is cool dinner. As this city is also known for having some of the best restaurants in the country, it makes sense that you would want to get out there and try some of them. This is why we have shared some of our favourite areas to dine out in Sydney:

•    Norton Street
This busy Leichhardt street is one of the most popular places to go if you’re looking for somewhere delicious to eat in Sydney. The area is particularly known for it’s Italian influences, so expect to find authentic pasta, pizza, coffee and gelato in abundance.

•    Crown Street
If you prefer fine dining or cannot resist the lure of a celebrity chef, we recommend Crown Street in Surry Hills. Some of the more notable restaurants on the street include ‘Marque’ (Mark Best), ‘Billie Kwong’ (Kylie Kwong), ‘Bills’ (Bill Granger) and ‘Red Lantern’ (Luke Nguyen).

•    Church Street
Many people don’t usually put outdoor dining and Parramatta together, but a stroll down Church Street will reveal a plethora of restaurants with umbrellas and pergolas. Some of the more popular eateries for patrons of motels in Sydney include ‘City Extra’ and ‘El Phoenician’.

•    George Street
Many people like to head down to the Rocks of an evening, as it provides some stunning views over Sydney Harbour. Here, you will find a good mix of pub grub (such as the ‘Orient Hotel’) and fine dining establishments (such as Neil Perry’s ‘Rockpool’ and Peter Gilmore’s ‘Quay’).

•    Glebe Point Road
If you’re looking for a diverse range of restaurants (perhaps you’re not sure what cuisine you feel like), Glebe Point Road in Glebe should be your first stop. Choose from Chinese, Indian, Italian, Japanese, Malay, Mexican, Nepalese, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Vietnamese and more!

•    King Street
Many locals actually describe this Newtown street as being similar to Glebe Point Road, just with less parking. It offers a diverse range of cuisines, so something is sure to tickle your fancy. There is, however, plenty of public transport in the form of buses and trains.

The next time you’re looking at motels in Sydney, don’t forget to consider where you’re going to eat. Whilst we have outlined some of our favourite locations within the city, it is important to remember that there are plenty more just waiting to be discovered. If you’re traveling to Sydney in October, for example, we recommend the Night Noodle Markets in beautiful Hyde Park.
