Try this health drink created at Skana Spa at New York’s Turning Stone Casino
Chef de Cuisine Mike Tubia, of Wildflowers Restaurant at The Lodge – the Turning Stone hotel that includes Skaná Spa – shared his recipe for the Skaná Spa’s Orange Cinnamon infused water.
Orange Cinnamon Infused Water
Yield: one gallon
2 cinnamon sticks
6 orange peels from six whole oranges; trim away white pith from peels
3 quarts mineral water
1 tablespoon organic maple syrup
1 quart freshly squeezed orange juice
Combine cinnamon, orange peels, mineral water and maple syrup in large pot. Bring to a boil and simmer for five minutes. Remove from heat and allow mixture to cool for one hour. Add fresh squeezed orange juice and chill. Garnish with slices of orange.
