ROME in 2 DAYS - were to start.

Well the Best Western offered a full American breakfast that was included so we started here .Breakfast was good! They offered crossaints butter & james, breads, meat & cheese and the coffee was ESPRESSO with steamed milk - omg so good!

Off to the Colosseum today. It’s a beautiful sunny day in Rome.

Today we ventured off on foot to the Terimini Rail station. We found a hop on hop off tour of Rome for 20€ pp. What a great day!
Liz and I took the double decker bus all over Rome, but our main priority was to go to the COLOSSEUM for the day. When we arrived, we found a line wrapped around for what looked like ever. Thankfully, the line only took about 20 minutes to get through, but I would suggest purchasing a ticket prior to arrival. The admission was 12€ per adult and students (with id)/children were free. Although the stairs leading to the top were extremely steep and large, the journey up was well worth it. The COLOSSEUM is something that you can't miss if you travel to Rome. After about an hour, liz and I were off back to the bus which continued on around the city. We decided not to get off and just enjoy, as we planned activities for tomorrow that were included to see. The tour included Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, The Spanish steppes, Via Venito, and many other tourist areas that offered the amazing sites of Rome.
