Day 1 – Bujumbura
Arrive in Bujumbura and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax after your flight. Overnight Hotel club du lac Tanganyika

Day 2 – Bujumbura-Mwaro falls.
After breakfast we visit Rusizi national park where a possible boat ride in Rusizi river will let you explore closer the hippo, numerous birds and the joining point between Rusizi River and Lake Tanganyika .Visit Buyenzi muslim city with its different activities mecanics,local general goods market , the mausoleum of Prince Louis Rwagasore, a hero of the independence of Burundi. We then climb to the ‘Belvedere’ on the top of the hill, a dominating point of Bujumbura, offering a unique view over Bujumbura and the Lake Tanganyika.

Lunch in Bujumbura city restaurant.

After lunch, we take the direction to Mwaro Province: Visit of Agasumo ka Mwaro”Mwaro waterfalls” a place where Burundians were worshipping their God”Kiranga” before Christianity.

Dinner & overnight at Hotel Iteka Mwaro Falls .

Day 3 – Karera Falls – Gitega
After an early breakfast ,visit of the “Source of Nile”,then  ‘Chutes de la Karera’, an impressive set of waterfalls locally renowned for having healing powers. Afterwards drive to the town of Gitega; Lunch and visit the National Museum with its collection of artefacts, Gitega city administrative offices,Catholic Location of Mushasha and its different schools, Dinner & overnight at Orange  or Helena Hotel .

Day 4- Gishora drum sanctuary.

After breakfast,we drive 7 km from Gitega city center to Gishora Village.The site recreates an architectural complex of Royal palace and drum sanctuary, rarely found elsewhere in the country. Get there a lot of information will be provided by Mr Antime who has travelled a lot of countries across the world exhibiting the image of Burundi with his drum.Drummers’ performance at the site.  Drive back to Bujumbura overnight at Hotel club du lac Tanganyika.

Day 5 – Kigwena national reserve & Local fishermen of Mvugo
Morning visit of Livingstone memorial stone ,drive to Kigwena National Reserve for a walk in the forest to search for its flora and fauna which includes chimpanzees and monkeys including the owl faced monkeys and baboons,visit of the local villages of fishermen of Rumonge Port . Beach relaxation, swimming ,tennis. Overnight at Blue Bay Resort.

Day 6 Gombe stream national park-Tanzania.

After breakfast, we go to Nyanza Lac to take a boat ahead to Gombe Stream.Arrival noon,half day track. Dinner &Camping in the park.

 Day 7 Full day in Gombe stream. It's a great place to see chimps up close and personal as many of the family groups are habituated to humans.Camping in the park.

Day 8 After breakfast, we take a boat back to Nyanza Lac, drive back to Blue Bay Resort for relax and lunch. Afternoon drive back to Bujumbura and overnight at Hotel club du lac Tanganyika.

Day 9 Teza tea factory.

Drive to the North of Burundi we will stop not far from Bugarama to see splendid tea plantations .Visit of Teza tea factory. Coffee plantations are observed  on our way to Ngozi.

Lunch & city tour. Overnight at Belvedere Hotel.

Day 10 Birds lakes

After breakfast drive to Kirundo  a region of extensive depressions dotted with many lakes and abounding in bird life.It is an area of great scenic beauty where the visitor may discover, by canoe, such lakes as Cohoha, the bird Lake,renowed for its ornithological reserve ; and other lakes like Kacamirinda and Kanzigiri..

Lunch at Kirundo and drive to Kigali for overnight at Hotel Mille Collines

UGANDA:Gorilla Tracking, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale forest Chimp tracking  

Day 11 You are received by your local host at Katuna at the Rwanda border. Transfer to Kabale   in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park.   Check in at   Travellers Rest Motel in Kisoro. Visit the local market or Lake Mutanda.Dinner & overnight.  (Full Board)

 

Day 12   Gorilla tracking

Early morning wakeup call at 6:30AM and breakfast before briefing by ranger/guide at 8:00am. GORILLA TRACKING.  The gorillas are tracked, located and after approximately one hour with them, return to base for a shower and cold drink. After lunch, take an optional drive to interact with the Batwa Community of Senerio or walk through Baniga Forest. Dinner & overnight

Day 13   Launch Cruise

Early morning, pick up and depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park via   the Southern sector through Ishasha in Search for tree Climbing Lions. Check in at  Bush Lodge   . Dinner and Overnight
 Day 14 Game Drive, launch trip,  Kibale Forest National Park

Wakeup call at 5:45AM. Have early morning breakfast before starting your game drive at 6:30AM in Time to catch the African sunrise On The Peninsular,Lions back from their night hunt, Elephants, Buffalos, Hyenas, the Rare Giant Forest hog, Warthogs, Kob mating grounds and crater lakes. 
 
  After lunch head for afternoon launch trip. Up close to a variety of hippo, fish eagle, goliath heron, African Jacana, Egyptian geese, and the rare shoebill and mountain ranges in the horizon before making a  ‘U’ turn  back to base at Mweya Peninsular.  
Check out late evening & head northward via Katunguru gate with a chance to catch more game along the way. Depart for  Kibale Forest  through Kasese town, verdant country side ,traditional homesteads and farms Dinner and overnight at Fort Motel, Chimps Nest ,Kibale forest camp or  Chimpanzee guest House  

Day 15 - Days highlight-Chimpanzee tracking

After breakfast search of the chimpanzee and ten other primates including ,L’hoestes,red-colobus,blues,red-tailed and grey checked mangabey.This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters.  Visit a local homestead before returning to Kampala for Dinner & overnight at   Humur Hotel or Cassia Lodge Kampala  
Day 16   DEPARTURE 
 Depending on flight time you may want to visit Crafts Village for souvenirs or the ruins of World heritage Kasubi Tombs.  Departure.
