• Description
Celebrate Spring with our two weekend workshops, or indulge by staying the entire week. Each workshop is detailed below, and reservations can be made through Finca Luna Nueva. These are educational, uplifting, and inspirational workshops presented amidst the beauty of our rainforest on our organic, biodynamic farm.

The first weekend workshop begins March 17:

The Deep Ecology of Green Tea at Finca Luna Nueva

The Japanese Tea Ceremony is a metaphor for an well-ordered, harmonious life, but it begins with bought, dried tea leaves. At this Deep Ecology of Green Tea weekend at Finca Luna Nueva, you will have a much more primal experience and learn so much more. You'll be with the living Camellia sinensis tea bushes in a Neotropical rainforest. You will harvest, prepare and store the delicate young leaves. The second day, you will prepare and drink the tea you have harvested in a profoundly powerful ceremony that celebrates the understanding that comes only with your experiences of the full processes. You'll be in the middle of a stunningly rich and beautiful environment. In your free time you can explore the forest and farm. Costa Rica residents will take home seeds or seedlings. Others will return home knowing how to grow and nurture their own tea bushes.

The second weekend workshop starts on March 24.

    Ten Healing Herbs--
    Herbal Dynamics
and the Wisdom of the Plants

Finca Luna Nueva is a living treasure--a working, certified Biodynamic farm in a Neotropical rainforest in Costa Rica. A Sacred Seeds Sanctuary at Finca Luna Nueva preserves the living ethnobotanical riches of a part of the world with some of the highest biodiversity anywhere. Other medicinally valuable herbs from other bioregions are growing in the gardens and fields of this extraordinary farm.

The Herbal Dynamics Workshop will acquaint you intimately with the herbs that Rudolph Steiner used in his preparations. They are simple, safe, and promote healing and well-being. We will visit and communicate with the plants and meditate on their gifts and Wisdom. At this intensely practical workshop, you will learn to make simple and effective remedies such as extracts, oils, salves, healing vinegars, and compresses for everyday use. Herbal Medicine is the People's Medicine.

There is no better way to enter this magical world than at Finca Luna Nueva. This is the heart of a forest so abundant in biodiversity that it is almost difficult to see the same tree twice. The animals are a wonder to behold. Do you like birds? You won't believe what you'll see. You'll feast on organic food grown on our farm. We have nature trails and intense tour experiences you won't find anywhere else. Swim in our Ozone-purified pool, relax in the solar hot tub, and get drenched in our natural rivers and waterfalls. Wake up with the Toucans. Go on a nighttime tour of the forest and meet the insect stars of the mysterious Cirque de la Lune.

Rejuvenate body mind and spirit. This is a place you'll never want to leave.
