If you enjoy playing beach volleyball, you'll be pleased to find there are sand volleyball courts available. This each is situated almost two miles south of the Coronado Ferry Landing. So hop in the rental car and go! This beach has impressive mansions sitting behind it on Ocean Boule bard. The well-known Hotel de Coronado, which is 130 years old, is also nearby.

Sunset Cliffs

Get in your rental car and drive nine miles from downtown San Diego to Sunset Cliffs during your getaway weekend. This is an amazing spot for ocean views. It occupies 68 acres and runs along the western shoreline of Point Loma's peninsula. Make sure to enter Sunset Cliffs Natural Park. You'll find lots of walking trials by the ocean. You might want to visit the park at sunset, as there are wonderful views waiting for you to enjoy. Be aware that there aren't any on-site restrooms, so it's best to use the bathroom before your excursion. Also be very careful and don't take any risks when exploring. Read all signs and warnings. There have been accidents on the cliffs in the past. Many people advise bringing along a sweater or sweatshirt in case you are chilled by the ocean breeze.
