Kris, I couldn't tell you about Tenaya Lake. We parked at the chapel cause it was centrally located mid-valley and was empty. Handicapped parking is also available at Swinging Bridge, the village, the Awahnee, and several pullouts along the one-way road around the valley. Any trail that is marked on the map as a bike trail can accomodate chairs on the valley floor. If you have a handicapped plate or placard, you can drive the road to Mirror Lake. Glacier Point is accessible and Badger Pass has one of the best adaptive ski programs in California.

Hey Darryl, I deal with visitors to Yosemite on a regular basis and I've been told that there are some areas that wheelchairs can't go up around Tenaya Lake. Specifically, the beach access at the Murphy Creek Trailhead . Do you know by chance: A) Is the the remodel in this area addressing this issue? B) What are the best areas for people in wheelchairs in Yosemite Valley? I noticed that you parked in the chapel lot, how did you know to go there? Are there other ez access parking areas or good spots for disabled folks ?

Great video, thanks for sharing! The name of that red plant is Indian Warrior. Next time you head off to Yosemite check out Yosemite Audio Adventures!

Check out a recently discovered Yosemite Secret. What lies beneath the icy waters of Tenaya Lake?

Did anyone happen to catch this month's National Geographic piece on freeclimbing in Yosemite?  Whew, just looking at these pics gave me chills.

Oodles of snow this last weekend, more to follow this coming weekend. Travelers really need to bring chains for all gates. Come on up, it couldn't be be prettier, but be safe.
