Travel Superlatives a Go-Go! More About This Group

Hello, everyone, I've taken it upon myself to mediate this group. Ny-Ålesund (the most northerly settlement); the Atacama Desert (the driest desert), Mt. Waialeale on the Hawaiian island of Kauai (the wettest place)...any suburban English pub at closing time (the most dangerous)...these are some of the places I've been to, but I'd love to hear your adventures. Superlatives can be modified, qualified, quantified and abused, too, so if you've been to the reddest spot in Rhode Island, that counts just as much. --Terence Baker

Ah, the coin drops...hence the photo you added of this church. I will scan Websites and add all "superlative" news when I find it. Are "ugly" and "pretty" superlatives? I think we have a debate. If the latter is, then I might post, instead of a photo of a small church or a desert, a photo of Jane Birkin in the 1960s, but then I might be quite rightly open to criticism, so I will defer to the side of common sense and not do so.

And how about the world's supposedly smallest church, nondenominational and built in 1989 on stilts in the middle of a lake in Oneida, New York: room enough for just a clergyman and a couple (everybody else has to hang out in boats outside)?

Wow........... this a pretty, um, superlative group! Here's a first:

Best fish I've ever eaten (and I'm not a fish eater!): pixín (monkfish) caught fresh in the cold waters of the Bay of Biscay in Asturias, northern Spain.

Ugliest fish I've ever eaten: see above. see below.
