Historic Balboa Park in San Diego, California

Balboa Park is one of San Diego's largest and most historic vacation destinations. This park is often referred as the “Smithsonian of the West” for its concentration of cultural institutions and it is the largest cultural complex in the West of Mississippi. It was built during 1915-16 Panama- California exposition in San Diego. This park is one of the most attractive tourist spot in California for its beautiful building but, the real attraction is the history, culture, art and science depicted here. It includes eight gardens, 15 museums, a theatre and the San Diego Zoo. People visiting this natural tourist destination will have a long lasting memory of this park. San Diego Zoo

Located near downtown and covering 100 acres of area in size San Diego zoo is consistently ranked among the world’s best park in the world and is visited by more than 5 million people every year. This zoo takes care of more than 4,000 animals; Polar Rim, Panda Canyon and Elephant Odyssey are most attractive part that attracts visitors.

Balboa park gardens

Balboa park garden includes: the botanical building, Japanese Friendship garden, Inez Grant Parker Memorial Rose Garden, Zoro Garden, Palm Canyon and Desert Garden each of these gardens has its own uniqueness and specialty.

The Old Globe Theatre                        

The Old Globe theatre is one of the famous cultural showcases that produce 14 works a year across 3 stages. It won the Tony Award for outstanding regional theatre in 1984.
