French influence in Hanoi has left its mark in many ways; in the city’s architecture, its parks and gardens, and in its cuisine. Café culture has been embraced whole-heartedly and is now an inherent part of daily life, fuelled by a love of coffee (café) and burgeoning domestic production.

Hanoi Imperial Hotel would like to recommend you some popular coffee shops in Hanoi:

  1. Café Pho Co: 11 Hang Gai str-Tel:04 3928 8153; 7am-10pm

Hotels in Hanoi

Hanoi offers a range of accommodation with the majority of budget hotels located in the tangled streets of the Old Quarter. Outside of Hoan Kiem District, a handful of good four and five star hotels can be found. Beyond Hanoi, options are slightly more limited, but what is there is of excellent value.

We would like to recommend you some excellent Hanoi hotels as below:

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi: 15 Ngo Quyen Str; tel 04 3826 6919

Hanoi imperial hotel - 44 hang hanh st, good place for trvallers
he staff are fantastic, the rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable.
Taxi parking is a little difficult - it is best to walk to one of the corners of the street
The location of the hotel is perfect. It is a couple of minutes stroll to Lake Hoam Kiem where the locals practice Tai Chi early in the mornings. The hotel has free maps and the staff are very happy to help you plan trips. I was going to take a taxi to the Contemporary Art Gallery but they recommended that I walk. Their advice was excellent because I got to see more of the Old Quarter first hand. The staff also helped us plan our trip to Cat Ba island in Halong Bay. The hotel was really well maintained so all the fittings are clean and fresh - there are LCD televisions and safe in the rooms. The water pressure in the bathroom is good and we had a novel shower head that cycled colours when water was flowing. Breakfasts are nourishing with a choice of fruits, salads, cereals and eggs on request. The coffee is excellent. I finished breakfast at 9 am but i was enjoying Hoan Kiem lake view and coffee until 11a.m, very good memory!!!
