The Empire State's a gloriously mixed bag: exciting New York City, lovely Long Island beaches, historic Hudson Valley mansions, Adirondack skiing, Finger Lakes wine country, Niagara Falls, Saratoga Springs, Lake George, the Erie Canal, & plenty more.

Mio dio, the whole darn country's a mindblowing museum, foodie paradise, and more. Rome, Venice, Florence, Sicily, Pisa, Naples -- so many of the most iconic destinations in travel.
The Sopranos and the turnpike notwithstanding, it's called the Garden State because it really does have some lovely areas, especially down south and on the Jersey Shore. Atlantic City for gambling, Newark for ethnic eats, lots more. Capisce?
