New Zealand advertises no poisonous critters. Maybe the spider came with the territory, all the way from Canada.

Well, imagine that! I thought you had left the building. Tried to contact you when I was in Hobart awhile back. Where are you?

The other "land Down Under" is lots smaller than neighbor Australia yet packs in a boggling amount of beauty and adventure in its two main islands and many smaller ones -- along with Maori culture and the occasional touch of urban cosmopolitanism.

Well, tie me kangaroo down, sport! Spectacular vistas and unique wildlife, welcoming locals, fabulous wine country, cool cities (talkin' to you, Sydney!), bodacious beaches. So as the commercial says, "Where the bloody hell are you?" To Oz? To Oz!

I am not going to ATE this year, Betty. And not on the Queensland trip, either. Sorry. Will I see you at Corroboree?

Hi Betty, thanks...guess we can call this a page (?)...Anyway, thanks for the Charlotte Observer request ! That's in North or South Carolina, isn't it ?
A lot of people stop over in Brunei on their way to Australia, mostly brits. But from your part of the US, how do people prefer going to Australia ? Through LA or via London ? Anyway, Brunei and Borneo are exotic places for people who love nature, flora and fauna, with Brunei having the extra excitement of wealth and Royalty. Alan Riches is quite active with the local travel association, and he runs his own tour company now called Intrepid Tours (you can google it, look also for Brunei Bay), so we meet often, plus he lives in the same area as me. I should see him Wednesday, I'll let him know...

Cheers !

Good morning, Betty, and a hearty welcome to Go-Lo! It's great to have you with us -- and we think you'll find our site productive as well as interesting and enjoyable.

To get the most out of Go-Lo, you may want to also take a few minutes to join several other of our many groups which you might find of particular interest, such as Media Only, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Honjg Kong, Colorado, Travel Marketers/Publicists, Eating/Drinking the World, and various others covering many topics and most other destinations throughout the the Pacific, Asia, and the rest of the world.

FYI, on your profile you'll see a blue bar marked "Text Box," which you can turn into a box containing not just text but also photos and even videos about yourself and your interests.

Finally, if you would, please be so kind as to spread the word among your travel-interested friends, family, and colleagues. It's fast and easy to use our "INVITE" function above left on the navigation bar to enter e-mails (even your whole list at once!). We'd also be grateful if you have any opportunity to cover Go-Lo in any of your media outlets.

We wish you the best of luck over the rest of 2009 and beyond, both personally and professionally, and look forward to hearing much more from you...
