SOCIAL NETWORK TRIPATINI.COM TO SPONSOR THETRAVELBLOGGERSSHOW

Alexandria, Va., June 16, 2010 – Tripatini.com, the blog and social networking site that the New York Post called “Facebook for travelers,” has signed on as a sponsor of THETRAVELBLOGGERSSHOW (Orlando, Sept. 11-12). The event, the first travel industry conference for travel bloggers, is being held in conjunction with THETRADESHOW, North America’s number one travel trade show, and offers attendees the chance to network, share tips and learn from one another on what it means to be a successful blogger in today’s competitive arena.

“We are excited to count Tripatini as a sponsor,” said Chris Russo, president and chair of ASTA, one of THETRADESHOW’s 16 managing partners. “Tripatini shares our commitment to professional development and providing travel professionals, as well as those who simply love to travel, with the chance to network and exchange ideas with similarly minded people. Their support of THETRAVELBLOGGERSSHOW is a natural by-product of that commitment, and we are very pleased to be working with them.”

“Bloggers will play an increasingly important role in the travel media,” added Tripatini Editor-in-Chief David Paul Appell. “Bold initiatives such as THETRAVELBLOGGERSSHOW are the training ground for tomorrow’s top voices in travel. Tripatini is proud to be part of this groundbreaking opportunity for bloggers to improve their skills and raise their professional profiles.”

THETRAVELBLOGGERSSHOW participants will kick off the two-day event with a chance to enjoy special VIP perks, courtesy of some of Orlando’s top selling retailers and attractions, as well as with specially planned events just for them. The following day, participants will hear from experts in the blogosphere with sessions such as A Top Travel Blogger Shares How He Does It, presented by MSNBC commentator Chris Elliott (Elliott.org); Working with Travel Marketers and P.R. Agencies, presented by Edward Hasbrouck (Practical Nomad); and a panel discussion focusing on One Subject, One Blog: Do’s and Dont's for Niche Blogging, moderated by GoGalavanting.com’s Kim Mance, with Nomadic Matt's Travel Site’s Matt Kepnes, Solo Traveler’s Janice Waugh and J The Travel Authority’s Jeanine Barone as panelists. The afternoon will be free for participants to meet one on one with travel industry suppliers and destinations on the trade show floor.

The $35 registration fee to attend THETRAVELBLOGGERSSHOW covers access to three days of the THETRADESHOW (Orlando, Sept. 12-14), including education sessions, trade show floor access and all-delegate functions (excluding private events), in addition to blogger track sessions and special THETRAVELBLOGGERSSHOW functions. Those who wish to revisit content from THETRADESHOW and THETRAVELBLOGGERSSHOW once they return home or view sessions they were not able to attend on-site, may purchase a Best Value package. In addition to everything offered as part of their basic registration, the Best Value package includes access to conference recordings* for just $109.
