TRIPATINI.COM KICKS OFF WORLD TRAVEL MARKET
WITH CELEB MIXOLOGIST ANDY PEARSON AT LONDON'S ROYAL HORSEGUARDS
HOTEL
New Travel Social Network Brings Travelers & Travel Experts
Together
MIAMI ̶ NOV. 5, 2009 ̶ David Paul Appell, co-founder and CEO of
Tripatini.com, the travel social network the New York Post recently
dubbed "Facebook for travelers," today announced that British
celebrity mixologist Andy Pearson will work his magic for Tripatini
members and guests attending the site's pre-World Travel Market
cocktail soirée to be held at London's swank Royal Horseguards
Hotel Monday, Nov. 9, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Launched in summer 2009, Tripatini.com breaks down the traditional
barriers that have stood between travelers and travel journalists,
publicists, agents, vendors, and anyone else with good, actionable
info. With a user-friendly interface, the online travel community
combines fun content ̶ destination spotlights; user-generated
blogs, photo and video galleries; travel news feeds; an events
calendar; world music videos; and a far-ranging weekly travel blog
̶ with a smart, eclectic and fast-growing network of members from
dozens of countries and territories around the world.
Says Appell: "We're honored to have a mixologist of Andy Pearson's
standing mix at our World Travel Market cocktail party, and it's an
honor our members and guests will certainly appreciate." Pearson,
who won the 2007 United Kingdom Bartenders Guild National Cocktail
Competition, finished in the top five at the IBA World Cocktail
Competition. In 2008 he appeared at number 25 in Theme Magazine's
list of the top 100 movers and shakers in the bar industry. He also
appears regularly on the BBC2 television show "Something For The
Weekend."
Tripatini's cocktail soirée, which brings together site members and
guests from places as diverse as Spain, Italy, Germany, Denmark,
Poland, Romania, Ireland, United Kingdom, Egypt, Dubai, Ethiopia,
India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Greenland, the Caribbean, and the United
States, provides an opportunity to network face-to-face in the
Terrace Room of the Royal Horseguards Hotel, recently refurbished
and re-launched as London's latest 5-star property. Journalists and
WTM participants wishing to attend should RSVP by e-mail or
directly on site.
