I'm beginning work on a new Countryman Press Great Destinations Guide to the Bahamas (plus I update for Fodor's) Looking for offbeat suggestions -- island characters, religious sites, tips on not being that ugly American, West Indian restaurants, best rake n scrape bands. That sort of thing. Not the usual dribble I can get from the brochures. Tell me an extraordinary local encounter you've had and I just may put you in the book
