Thanks for your comment. Having seen lots of people visiting Machu Picchu, I totally agree with you when Cusco is spectacular! That's why the city has got lots of condecorations. Hope to be in contact with you and people interested in the topic and share ideas and experiences about Cusco and Machu Picchu, of course!

I was 17 when I visited Machu Picchu the first time, and I've been back a couple of times since. There are still few places in the world that in my opinion can compare with the sheer power and magic of Machu Picchu. And Cuzco is a spectacular city unlike any other in Latin America... once you get used to the altitude.

The 100th anniversary of Machu Picchu

 A big celebration is about to resume in Peru. On July 24th 2011Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders, is having its 100th anniversary of rediscovery by the american explorer Hiram Bingham.
