Wow, I would lose my appetite as well. My mother used to make Monk fish all the time-it was poor man's lobster, which we would dip in drawn butter. We do not easily get Monk fish on the west coast, so it has been a long time I've had it.
Despite my willingness to try everything at least once, I am fearful of tainted or parasitic food, and have become more conservative in my eating the older I get. I also have lupus, so have to be careful not to send my immune system into overdrive.
