Our adventure begins from Accra, the capital of Ghana located on the coast, where the national museum hosts and displays one of Africa's most striking ethnographiccollections of art. We explore this once- major center for slave trade. In the city of Kumasi, the heart of the Ashanti Kingdom, one of Africa's most powerful kingdoms till the end of the 19th century, we MAY attend a traditional Ashanti funeral. A special ev nt held long after a person dies. These occasions are always festive with heavy drumming and dancingand participants dressed uniquelly in graceful black and red mourning clothes they wear for such occasions.

Rolling northwards through Ghana brings us to the savanna with huge Baobab trees with Dagomba and Gonja villages. In one of these villages we will visit a large settlement of "WITCHES", mwn and women exiled from their villages and we will have a chance to talk with them about btheir lives. We will cross the rarelly passed border with togo to visit and explorer the land of Tamberma and the Somba clans who live in fortified adobe compounds that look like mideval castles complete with torrets.

Once we reach the Atlantic ocean agaion , we will be in the heart of  "VOODOO" country. here we will  have the chance to visit and witness authentic voodoo practitioners falling into trance and dancing and learning about the religion. The adventure will take us to Lome , the vibrante capital of Togo where we will visit the biggest voodoo ingredients market, the fetish market.

Along the way, hotels and simple lodges will keep us comfortable while native born leader, Godfried Agbezudor, an expert in voodoo religion with high knowledge of the history of both countries, will help us gain fuller understanding of Africa and its people.
